The Magic House
Rebrand and Identity Project
The idea for this project is to take a local St. Louis organization and create an overall new aesthetic. This includes a new logo, business card, letterhead, envelope, and billboard.
The beanstalk is an incredibly important attraction at "The Magic House" for its aesthetics and fun factor, which is why the plant is largely emphasized in my redesign.
The thin sans-serif purple font was chosen, as I felt a thin and "loopy" font was a good font for an organization aimed towards the entertainment and education of children. The bright and dark greens are chosen to represent growth. The bright green represents a bright youth, while the dark green symbolizes growth and maturity. Combining both together is a silent message of providing a place for both young and old to learn and grow.
Light purple was chosen as a soothing, yet mysterious color. It is associated with being a somewhat rare and interesting color, which could be used to capture the interest and attention of children (whether they pass the sign in the car, see it in an ad, or are inclined to buy a t-shirt of it).
Thank You
Hope you enjoyed this project!
